     Technical Support Facility (TSF) for South Asia

In 2009, UNAIDS funded ActionAid International Asia in partnership with Tata Institute of Social Sciences in India and the International Centre for Diarrheal Disease Research in Bangladesh to establish a Regional Technical Support Facility (TSF) for South Asia. TSF South Asia delivers timely, high quality technical support to strengthen individual and organizational capacity to plan and implement effective scaled-up AIDS programs.

Our priority areas for Technical Support and Capacity Building

  • Strategic and operational planning, including collection and analysis of strategic information, policy and program design, costing analysis of resource requirements

  • Implementation and problem solving for grants and programs including assistance with program management, financial management, procurement, monitoring and evaluation

  • HIV prevention and targeted treatment for at-risk groups: PLHIV, IDU, MSM, sex workers and migrants, and other vulnerable groups such as women, young people and orphans and vulnerable children

  • Tailor-made responses to country needs

  • Capacity development of country partners

  • Professional development of local and regional consultants

The TSF South Asia serves the governments, National AIDS Programs, the Global Fund, bilateral and multilateral agencies, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), PLHIV networks, the business sector and civil society in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
